Spanish Oaks is located 20 minutes Southwest of downtown Austin, Texas near the intersection of Bee Caves Road (RR 2244) and Highway 71 in the City of Bee Cave. The community has two guarded and gated entrances off Hwy 71 – one is East of FM 2244, the other is just West of RR 620. Central Austin and airport access is easy with Southwest Parkway and Highway 290 nearby.

Developed by Discovery Land Company, Spanish Oaks is known for its first class private golf club and excellent restaurant, as well its resort-style amenities that include a five acre fish camp and bait shop, miles of hiking trails, and the residents' pool and lodge (opening July 2008).

The Austin Tennis Academy calls Spanish Oaks home, and is an incredible tennis facility focused on developing elite junior tennis players. The Academy also has programs for women and junior summer camps.

Just across Hwy 71 from the neighborhood is the new Hill Country Galleria, creating convenient dining and shopping for neighborhood residents.
